Chem.Eng
Chemical Engineering is a 4-yr program. Students develop a strong
foundation in basic sciences and have the opportunity to participate
in courses aimed at developing problem solving, team, self-assessment
and lifelong learning skills. the Department has identified a number
of technical focus areas that link our teaching and research expertise
and provide students with a package of courses that prepare them
for specific industrial sectors and career paths

Co-op
Students in our programs have the opportunity of
applying for an industrial internship. If successful, the student
typically is employed on industrial placement from the month of

Chem.Eng
and Management This program combines Chemical
Engineering with the core requirements of a Commerce degree. The
resulting 5-yr course of study is the only discipline-specific,
accredited undergraduate program of its kind in Canada. This program
introduces concepts useful in managing the financial aspects of
chemical engineering projects. |
Chem.Eng
and Society This program combines Chemical
Engineering with a broader university experience. Building on the
framework of the conventional engineering curriculum, this program
offers a series of new core courses which examine the complex interactions
between technology and society. In addition, a series of focused
elective courses outside the Faculty of Engineeing are taken. |
Chem
Eng and Bioengineering This program is a unique
5-yr program offered leading to the degree Bachelor of engineering
and Biosciences. It combines the core Chemical engineering undergraduate
curriculum with courses from the life sciences (biology, human anatomy
and physiology, biochemistry of macromolecules, cellular and molecular
biology) as well as specific courses (bioreactors and bioseparations)
related to bioengineering.
