Graduate Student Recognition Day

Two Graduate students from our Department were chosen as recipients of awards:

Nels Grauman Neander receives the GSA Honour Society (A Distinguished Service Award), Nels also receives the GSA Teaching Assistant Excellence Award.

Mark Rattle receives the Mary Keyes Award for Outstanding Leadership and Service to McMaster.

Awards will be presented on October 4th at the CIBC Hall (MUSC).

Graduate Recognition Awards

 

THE A. E. HAMIELEC AWARD

The A.E. Hamielec Award was established in 2001 to recognize the valuable contributions that Dr. A. E. Hamielec has made to the Department of Chemical Engineering and his pioneering efforts in the field of polymer reaction engineering. The prize is awarded to the graduate student deemed to have presented the best seminar during the annual Chemical Engineering Graduate Seminar Day as selected by a selection committee.

THE ROBERT B. ANDERSON MEMORIAL PRIZE
FOR LEADERSHIP AND EXCELLENCE

This prize was established in memory of Robert B. Anderson, Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering from 1965 to 1987, to perpetuate the spirit of human compassion and research excellence that he so clearly demonstrated during those years. The prize is awarded annually to a worthy graduate student on the recommendation of the Department.
