Department of Chemical Engineering
Message from the Chair
The world is changing rapidly and it is facing challenges in many areas such as energy, water, food, health and environment. Challenges are opportunities. Chemical Engineers are best prepared with problem solving skills to tackle the challenges for a better and sustainable world. As a leading chemical engineering department in Canada, our award-winning faculty and staff created a culture of excellence both in teaching and research. We are committed to give you the very best training in the discipline. There are three focus research areas in our department: biomaterials and bioprocessing, polymer science and engineering, and process systems engineering, which are closely linked to our undergraduate and graduate programs. The Department is also undergoing a period of dynamic and exciting expansion that will further contribute to excellence in teaching and research. Welcome to MacChemEng!
